The Clare Glens through which the Clare river flows, is a gorge that has many waterfalls and provides excellent adventure walks. The wooded nature trail has been mapped out in a looped course format, which opens up all areas of the Glens to the visitor. The river Clare forms the boundary between Co. Limerick and Co. Tipperary and is located 15 minutes drive from these houses, just outside Newport.

Our Family Farm and Hoilday accommodation is located very close to the village where the hit comedy series Killinaskully is filmed for RTE Television. Why not enjoy a pint at the famous Jacksie's pub or visit Sgt. Dick's Garda Station.

ancient Clonmacnoise, the Burren and the Cliffs of Moher, the Ailwee caves, the Rock of Cashel, the Slieve Bloom and Silvermine Mountains, Bunratty Castle, as well as the cities of Limerick and Galway, all within easy driving distance.
On the river Shannon and at the exact centre of Ireland, this 6th century ecclesiastical site has three high crosses, a cathedral, 9 churches and two round towers.
County Clare's main attractions make a great trip. The unique Burren with its rocky almost lunar landscape is world famous for its fauna and alpine flowers. The nearby Cliffs of Moher stretch for 8km, these 650ft high cliffs are Europe's best. There is a wonderful all weather visitor centre. Also close by is the fantastic Ailwee Caves.

Attractive city and gateway to Connemara it has history, narrow streets, interesting shopping, pubs and waterfront - 2009 hosts to the Volvo Round the World Ocean Race.

King John's Castle and the Hunt Museum (with works by Da Vinci, Renoir, Yeats and Picasso) are highlights of the city at the mouth of the river Shannon. Perhaps proceed after to Bunratty Castle anf Folkpark.

Within easy driving distance, the architecturally delightful little Heritage town is, in itself, well worth a visit. Birr Castle, its demesne and spendid gardens must not be missed. It includes the famous Rosse telescope for many years the largest in the world and science museum covering astronomy, enineering and agriculture.

The Castle was built in 1425 and authentically restored in 1954.
